Weekend Review Of The Horseracing From Naas and Saint-Cloud
So what have we learnt from the weekend? The big races abroad are the ones to concentrate on with some interesting seasonal debuts.
Minding got her season underway with a bloodless win in the Group Two Mooresbridge Stakes at Naas, winning as she liked. Much sterner tests await as the season unfolds but she looked in good fettle.
Godolphin claimed the first European Group One of the season with Cloth Of Stars, trained by Andre Fabre, winning the Prix Ganay at Saint-Cloud. Zarak was second with Silverware third and the older horses middle-distance division looks to be warming up for a season of top class clashes.
Jimmy Two Times, also trained by Fabre, won the Group Two Prix du Muguet and the G.1 Lockinge at Newbury is now a possibility.
My luck continues to be poor as the single bet on Saturday, Rocket Man Dan at Ripon, finishes second.
Be lucky
