The horseracing week ahead

A few bubbles were burst over the weekend, and not just with West Ham getting stuffed by Arsenal, as over at the Dublin Racing Festival a number of 'good things' got turned over; El Fabiolo, State Man and Galopin Des Champs did all win as expected.

Entries for the Grand National will be revealed on Tuesday and as this years race is the first time that only thirty-four runners will be guaranteed a place it will be interesting to see who is in early.

It looks like being a relatively quiet week for me with nothing much exciting me until Thursday when a couple may go at Lingfield Park that will be worth a look. Come Friday the card out in Dubai at Meydan may offer the opportunity of a bet or two but it's not the best meeting of the Carnival it has to be said. Saturday sees Newbury take centre stage with a couple of Grade Two Chases on the card and Shishkin a possible runner in the Betfair Denman Chase.

A fair bit of time will likely be spent looking towards Cheltenham this week so do check back and keep and eye on the Cheltenham Festival page for any additions to the Cheltenham ante-post Portfolio.

Be lucky
