The horse racing week ahead - the King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Stakes

With the greatest of respect to the midweek racing this week it is all about the weekend this week with the King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot Saturday undoubtedly race of the week. Enable remains on course for the race though sadly a number of the other middle-distance are likely to be seen next elsewhere. Ghaiyyath we already know is Juddmonte International-bound with double Oaks winner Love heading for the Yorkshire Oaks. Reports suggest English King, King Of Change and Sottsass are all being aimed elsewhere as well. Magical and Japan appear now look the most likely big names to take on the Khalid Abdullah owned mare come Saturday.

I have few plans for the first half of the week, not a bad thing perhaps following a poor Saturday just gone, though there were a number of results that left me scratching my head it has to be said. There are a few bets in the pipeline for later in the week.

For now, as always, stay safe and be lucky.
