The horse racing week ahead and a look at QIPCO British Champions Day

Not a bad weekend for me, though could have been better, and we move on now from Future Champions Festival to QIPCO British Champions Day. With the greatest of respect to the rest of the meetings it really is all about Saturday at Ascot and  QIPCO British Champions Day this week. We have a few Listed heats during the next 7-days and some interesting handicaps, and there may be a bet or two to be had, but my mind is very much on Saturday already.

The dedicated page is up and running http://www.girdysgeegees.com/qipco-british-champions-day-2020 and I have had the one bet thus far, I had to take a bit of the Evens that I saw about Palace Pier in the mile Group One Queen Elizabeth II Stakes. We will know a little more about who is targeting what as this week unfolds so make sure you come back and keep up to date with all the news and of course any bets placed.

One we do know that won't be running is Enable the mare having been retired.  Juddmonte CEO Douglas Erskine Crum said "After consulting her trainer John Gosden and his racing manager Teddy Grimthorpe, Prince Khalid has decided that Enable will be retired from racing and will now join the Juddmonte broodmare band to be covered by Kingman in 2021."
