The horse racing week ahead

We are in that slightly strange time of the year with the Flat season having begun at the weekend but the Jumps season of course still ticking over in the build-up to the big meeting at Aintree in a couple of weeks. The main event really in the coming days is the All-Weather Championships which are being held on Friday up at Newcastle; it really is a case of a little bit for everyone at the moment.

Last season's Irish 1,000 Guineas winner Homeless Songs is due to make her seasonal debut at Leopardstown on Wednesday having been declared to run in the Listed Irish Stallion Farms EBF Heritage Stakes and that is the highlight of midweek though I very much doubt she will be a backable price. Come the Bank Holiday weekend the All-Weather Championship Finals takes place on Good Friday with all the action on ITV from Newcastle and Lingfield where they host the 'undercard' if you will with the All-Weather Vase Day.

No bet for me on Monday but do check back as the week goes by as a few bets are planned all being well.

Be lucky
