The horse racing week ahead
I managed to find a couple of winners over the weekend in the shape of Silver Knott and Blackbeard, a couple of two-year-olds worth keeping an eye on: I was particularly impressed by Silver Knott winning the G.3 7f Solario Stakes. It was a winning weekend, just about.
As for the week ahead, it is fairly basic stuff Monday and nothing takes my eye. There is no Flat racing in Britain on Tuesday, another of those fixture list anomalies that simply do not make sense, as Worcester, Bangor and Fontwell host jumps meetings. ITV4 is will be showing The Racing League from Newcastle on Thursday evening and then Newmarket and Goodwood host fair looking cards on Friday. ITV are working over the weekend with racing on the terrestrial channel Saturday and Sunday with Goodwood the main meeting and their William Hill Celebration Mile Stakes the race of the weekend on Saturday. It looks like feet-up for me for a couple of days but there are bets pencilled in from the middle of the week and for the weekend so do check back as you will find all the information here first.
