The horse racing week ahead

What a cracking day at Newmarket on Saturday, the July course is not just one of my favourite tracks but one of my luckiest to, we managed to find six winners from the nine bets on the day and had a right good laugh to celebrate my old mate Matty making it to 50 not out!

It's a quiet start to the week for me this week with no fancies on Monday or Tuesday, not that surprisingly with most of the meetings abandoned due to the heat; it is 25c here at Triple G Towers as I write before 9am and we could see record temperatures before the day is out with a high of 40c forecast! The main meeting this week is the King George meeting at Ascot which begins on Friday with the big race, the Group One King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Qipco Stakes, on Saturday afternoon and we may get a stellar line-up with a bit of luck with the three-year-olds taking on the older generation.

Hopefully I will have a bet or two before the weekend so do keep checking back.

Be lucky
