Philip Hobbs sets Cheltenham poser for exciting Gumball

Philip Hobbs expects to learn more about Gumball's capabilities when he contests the JCB Triumph Hurdle Trial at Cheltenham. The Terry Warner-owned three-year-old has been hugely impressive in two appearances in Britain, bolting up at Stratford before following up in style at Chepstow. He is the general 12-1 favourite for the Triumph Hurdle at Cheltenham in March and is set to gain experience of the track on November 18.

Hobbs said: "He is hopefully a nice horse, but we will see when we have some stronger opposition at Cheltenham in the Grade Two juvenile. We will see what happens at Cheltenham first before we make any other plans."
