Horse racing week ahead and a bet for Monday

It was a decent enough weekend for me with a couple of nice winners on the All-Weather from my two bets, sadly to the over obstacles got beat, but a profit was had so I am not complaining (too much) still can’t quite believe Clan Des Obeaux didn’t get up!

Horse racing this week

It’s a busy week of horse racing ahead and a few more pieces of the Cheltenham Festival puzzle could be put in place with a number of Graded races over the coming days.

As for the weekend Kempton hosts four Graded heats with plenty of potential Festival pointers to be had in the Pendil Novices' Chase, Adonis Juvenile Hurdle, Dovecote Novices' Hurdle and Close Brothers Handicap Chase. On the All-Weather we also have the Group Three Winter Derby at Lingfield and the Listed Hever Sprint Stakes. I really want to back Bangkok for the Winter Derby but he has been out at Riyadh at the weekend and I can’t be sure he will run; I know there was big cash on offer but never looked a good idea to me! I will be keeping an eye on the Markets and any NRNB offer will be taken.

Best bet for the horse racing at Wolverhampton

You’ll have to wait for todays be as it runs in the 7.10 at Wolverhampton the Ladbrokes Watch Racing Online For Free Handicap over 1m1½f. Host got off the mark over the extended mile here last time with what looked plenty left in the tank, was quite the eye-catching win. Clearly the step up to a mile plus has suited the three-year-old and this trip should hold no fears. A 4 lb rise should not inconvenience him too much and I am on at 11-10.

Be lucky
