Horse racing the week ahead

It is a quiet day for me on Monday with nothing that I fancy having a bet on running. It is actually a fairly quiet beginning of the week.

Things do not really get going until Thursday and even then the best of the action is out in Ireland with Leopardstown's evening meeting followed by Group 1 action at the Curragh on Friday.

The Dubai Duty Free Shergar Cup takes place at Ascot on Saturday, popular with many, it is a bit of fun but not really a betting event. Thankfully Haydock hosts the Group Three Rose of Lancaster Stakes and Listed Dick Hern while Newmarket has the Group Three Sweet Solera Stakes. On Sunday the Prix Jacques le Marois at Deauville is the race of the day.

There is one at Nottingham Tuesday and a couple that are entered to run at Kempton on Wednesday that I may get involved with. All of my bets for the week will naturally be found right here on Girdys Gee Gees first.
