Horse racing news Monday 8th June 2020
Its a quiet start to the week for me, no bets for Monday.
The week builds to the big meeting across the Irish Sea this weekend with the Irish Guineas meeting at the Curragh; the big races are on Friday and Saturday. We also have decent meetings at Newbury and Sandown to look forward to at the weekend amongst others.
I got it wrong in our Guineas with Pinatubo and Quadrilateral both finishing third. I have said it before and I will say it again it's gong to be hard work for a few weeks due to the enforced break and late start to the Turf season.
As for the TV action we have had, I found it enjoyable. It's a tough job at the moment but the viewing figures for the Qipco 2,000 Guineas reportedly almost doubled from last year with nearly one and a half million tuning in. Good work ITV Racing.
I will be back naturally as the week progresses, and of course any bets placed will be updated on here as soon as done, so make sure you come back soon.
Be lucky
