Horse racing news Monday 29th March 2021 and the week ahead

Following a bit of a nightmare in Dubai at the Dubai World Cup meeting, one winner from eight bets, I am looking to move on quickly and get back to some sort of form this week.

All-Weather Championship Finals Day

We have plenty to look forward to this week especially with the long weekend as it is the All-Weather Championship Finals Day card at Lingfield on Good Friday. It’s all about the All-Weather Friday with the other two cards at Newcastle and Chelmsford; it does appear to be a bit of a fixtures mess-up but who am I to question the BHA.  All of the six All-Weather Championship finals races will be broadcast live on ITV4 along with four races from Newcastle so that’s Friday afternoon sorted for everyone.

The horse racing week ahead

Out in Ireland at the weekend Fairyhouse has its three-day Easter Festival with the likes of Envoi Allen and Honeysuckle possibly on show. On Saturday Musselburgh hosts a Turf meeting with Jumps action Haydock, Carlisle and Newton Abbott whilst they race on the Tapeta at Wolverhampton in the evening.
