Day Two Aintree Grand National Festival Best Bets

Day Two of the Grand National Festival up at Aintree dawns. The main event on Friday, as far as Triple G is concerned anyway, is the Grade One JLT Melling Chase at 3.25.

Fox Norton and Sub Lieutenant have chances but the Tom George inmate Gods Own has a habit of coming good at this time of year and of course won this race last season. His record here reads 2nd, 1st, 2nd, underfoot conditions should be spot on for him and the stable have been in the winners during April. He was still going well in the Queen Mother Champion Chase when blundering two out and would have finished much closer than fifth but for that error. I think he can overturn the form with Fox Norton (2nd in QMCC) and take this at 7-2.

One from the Festival that I thought was unlucky at the time is out in the shape of Constantine Bay in the 4.40 Grade One Doom Bar Sefton Novices Hurdle.I scribbled in the notebook at the time Albert Bartlett 2017: stopped in his tracks when The World's End fell in front of him at the second last did really well to stay on for fourth from that point.’ 7-2 to gain some compensation today and I am on.

Be lucky
