Back on my local
stomping ground Tuesday for the horse racing at Chelmsford City.
I am hoping it is a case of Moore
the merrier as the three I fancy are all ridden buy a certain Mr R L Moore.
Ryan Moore has an eye catching strike rate at the track of 42% (22 winners from 52 rides) and he will be travelling back from Deauville to race here this evening.
His booking to ride Encore d'Or in the Essex Sprint Handicap at 7.30 is seen as a huge plus. The five-year-old has top weight but is a course and distance winner and was a good third in a Listed race at Deauville last time out. Grab a bit of the 11-2 early.
He is also on Important Mission in the 8.10 Monaghan Civil Engineering Ltd Handicap. The gelding won his maiden at Newcastle over seven and wasn’t disgraced in fourth when favourite here over a mile last time. At 7-2 he has a big chance.
Finally Moore is getting the leg-up on Superioritycomplex from Sir Michael Stoute in the 8.40 Brooke Action For Working Equines Maiden Fillies' Stakes. This well-bred lightly raced filly makes her polytrack debut and has obvious claims at 8-13.
All being well Mr Moore will have a deserved felling of superiority by the end of the evening as will I walking to the pay-out counter!
