BHA confirms six fixture alterations

The British Horseracing Authority (BHA) has today confirmed the moves of six forthcoming fixtures.

Three Jump fixtures are being moved from Southwell as follows:

  • Southwell 14 September to Fontwell
  • Southwell 28 September to Worcester
  • Southwell 28 October to Ffos Las

These moves are taking place because the all-weather surface at Southwell is being changed from Fibresand to Tapeta. These three jump fixtures are being moved as it is not safe to race on the Jumps course during this phase of the surface replacement programme when bare stone/tarmac may still be exposed on the adjacent course.

In addition, three Flat fixtures are being moved from Windsor as follows:

  • Windsor 4 October to Lingfield (AWT)
  • Windsor 11 October to Wolverhampton (AWT)
  • Windsor 18 October to Bath

With the support of the BHA Inspectorate, Windsor is carrying out levelling works on undulations in the straight from 8 September. These works need time to establish ahead of racing again in April 2022.

It is the intention of the courses that the race programmes will as much as possible, subject to race distances being compatible with each course, remain on the same days, thereby generating as little disruption as possible.

In all cases, full race conditions, times and other fixture information will be available for participants via the racing admin site, www2.racingadmin.co.uk.
