Bets bets for the horse racing at Southwell Tuesday 17th November
Lingfield over the sticks today is abandoned waterlogged; they do race over the obstacles at Fakenham plus Southwell on the Fibresand and Newcastle under the lights later today on the Tapeta.
I am a fan of a bit of track and trip form at Southwell, the Fibresand surface means the course favours prominent horses as it is very difficult to accelerate and make up ground, added to the fact that there is significant kick back. There are a few that you might want to be on up at Nottinghamshire today and I will be backing two that I think have outstanding chances.
At 2.20 eight face the 7f for the Bombardier Handicap. Lexi The One trotted up over C&D last week and goes again under a 6b penalty which if she is in the same mood will not stop her; due to rise to 71 in the ratings after this. I have the 7-4 about the filly.
The lucky last at 3.50 is over 6f for the Betway Handicap. Pearl Of Qatar is now two for two over track and trip and the grey filly arguably put in a career best performance winning over C&D 14 days ago. only raised another 3lb for her hat-trick bid at 4-1 she is worth a punt to get the job done. Stall 13 aint helped but statistically it isn't as a big a handicap as you might think and I expect Luke Morris to have her in a nice prominent spot good and early.
Be lucky
