Best bets for the horseracing Tuesday 21st November 2023

I mentioned in my post on Monday that there might be one worth a look on the Tapeta at Dunstall Park Wolverhampton on Tuesday evening and the Gedling will run. There is a filly I have tipped before also running that has a great chance and as it turns out I am having two bets on Tuesday.

Best bets for the horseracing at Wolverhampton 

The race of interest to me is the 1m1½f BetUK. Home Of The Acca-Fenwa Maiden Stakes at 6.15. As a three-year-old unraced gelding Nature Watch has clearly had his difficulties getting to the track but is of interest here. He is a son of Curlin, an outstanding Dirt performer in his day, out of Saucy Dame, an unraced daughter of another top Dirt performer Distorted Humour, so perhaps it’s not that unusual that he should make his belated debut on the All-Weather. He cost €620,000 as a two-year-old when purchased in Dubai and I expect to see this one back in the UAE in the New Year for the Dubai Carnival. All four of his opponents have run once but none exactly caught the eye and Charlie Appleby looks to have found a good opportunity for this one to open his account at the first attempt. Sadly the old Satchel Swingers have totally bottled it again and they opened 4-5 best last night, he has drifted slightly and can be backed now. I have 7-4. Karriewhitchit is the one there has been a few quid for. 

I tipped Dubai Melody on debut at HQ earlier this month and she is the other one Charlie Appleby has sent up to Wolverhampton. She runs in the 1m½f Bet 10 Get 40 At BetMGM Fillies' Novice Stakes at 6.45. Stepping up in trip from the seven-furlongs she ran over at Newmarket  the daughter of Dubawi is fancied to build on that respectable debut second-place. It was pretty heavy at HQ but she ran a fair race all things considered losing out late on to one that may well turn out above average. I said earlier this month that being by the yards Derby winner Masar out of the winning mare Kazziana, a daughter of Shamardal, this filly may be one for next year over further, and I still think that's the case, bust she can win this before being put away for the winter. I am on at 13-8.
