Best bets for the horse racing Wednesday 6th June

Team Godolphin have a couple of two-year-olds out today for their second runs having both made pleasing enough debuts and with both stables in such good form I have had to have a punt.

Up at Wolverhampton on the Tapeta Saeed bin Suroor has Burj entered for the Polyroof Products Novice Stakes over six furlongs at 2.20. The colt will surely prove too good for the opposition here having just been run down on debut at Newbury last month. Slight concern is if he goes on the surface but should be fine and he comes here rather than an engagement at Haydock later in the week, he is 8-11 early.

Charlie Appleby saddles Beyond Reason for the Wise Betting At racinguk.com Fillies' Novice Stakes over six furlongs at Kempton this evening due off at 6.00. The filly made a promising start to her career when second in an HQ maiden last month, they let the winner slip clear but she proved too strong for the rest of the field, and she is fancied to go one better this time. 10-11 is the best you’ll get.

A little Godolphin double would appear to be the way to go at 2.3-1.
