Best bets for the horse racing Wednesday 18th May

I had a bet at Brighton on Tuesday, had every chance but was ultimately beaten a length, and I am off to the seaside again on Wednesday as I have one over on the East-Coast at Yarmouth. With a bit of luck this won will win and pay for a 99-ice cream at least.

Best bets for the horse racing at Yarmouth racecourse

One I noted in the entries at the start of the week was Changing Colours from the Charlie Appleby yard pencilled in for the 6f British Stallion Studs EBF Novice Stakes at 2.00, as well as a race at Goodwood on Friday. The son of Dubawi comes here for this and has to be considered on debut. His dam is a Shamardal mare called Blossomtime who won a couple of times as a two-year-old over 6f, trained by Appleby at the time, and up to a mile in Listed class in her career in France later having moved to Henri-Alex Pantall. The yard is of course in form and has had a juvenile winner this season from just five runners thus far. Evens is very short but I have been waiting and the colt is worth a bet to get off the mark at the first attempt; William Buick is here to ride.
