Best bets for the Horse Racing Tuesday 27th December

Just the one winner for me on Boxing Day from four bets but it was the big one with Bravemansgame winning the King George at 11-4. High Definition won on his hurdling debut out in Ireland and as predicted yesterday the 25-1 each-way I have about him for Cheltenham duly disappeared pretty quickly.

It's another day of bucket loads of action on Tuesday, a lot of which is best avoided truth be told, but there are a few bets to be had and all being well a winner or two.

Best bet for the horse racing at Kempton Park

I often get the Skelton ones wrong but I really like the look of the grey Lac De Constance in the Grade Two two-mile Ladbrokes Wayward Lad Novices' Chase at 1.20. A decent hurdler he won on chase debut over track and trip last month and looks like one to keep on side to me. I have the 'earole 6-4 early this morning.

Edwardstone looks a good thing in the Grade Two Desert Orchid Chase but is priced appropriately and is unbackable.

I am having a speculative one in the lucky last the two-mile Ladbrokes Fanzone 'Your Team Your Game' Handicap Hurdle. Paros is one I have talked of before and was a speculative bet for the Triumph at the Festival for me last year; he never got close to getting there though did win a Novice Hurdle at Musselburgh in March before finishing down the field in a Grade One at Aintree. Pulled up on his seasonal reappearance at Huntingdon 23 days ago, I find it interesting that connections are persevering and clearly think he has some talent even if we haven't perhaps seen it as yet. At 28-1 four-places I am on each-way in the hope he can show what he is capable of this season.

Best bets for the horse racing at Chepstow

Comfort Zone is short for the Grade Two Coral Finale Juvenile Hurdle at 1.40, I have 21-20, but I think he can win this before going on to bigger targets. The son of Churchill was rated in the 80's on the flat and impressed when making a successful start over hurdles at Navan in November. He took a step forward in defeat when third in Fairyhouse G.3 a week later and looks like one that has more to offer over the sticks.

The 3m6f Coral Welsh Grand National Handicap Chase is a pretty open looking affair and I have left it alone.

Out in Ireland Facile Vega is long odds-on for the G.1 Ladbrokes Fanzone 'Your Team Your Game' Handicap Hurdle whilst I have decided to leave the G.1 Paddy's Rewards Club Chase alone.
