My run of poor form continued on Monday, I managed to get the jolly for the German 2,000 Guineas beat at Evens! On and upwards as they say. Apparently, Evel Knievel once bet $1,000 he would sleep with eight different women in 24-hours and the old dog got the job done and collected so it goes to show faint heart never won fair lady!!
There is a fair bit of racing to get involved with on Tuesday if you wish. I though am sticking with just the one meeting, Lingfield Park, and in fact the last three races of the card so you will have to wait for them, but hopefully they’ll be worth the wait.
Best bets for the horse racing at Lingfield Park
The 7.35 at Lingfield is the 6f Download The Free AtTheRaces App Handicap. Excel Power has done little wrong thus far in his career, two wins from three starts, and an opening handicap mark of 85 could prove lenient. Front-running style is no bad thing round here, the yard of Archie Watson is in fair form and few ride this course better than Hollie Doyle who is in the saddle. The colt is short enough at 7-4 but I wouldn’t offer you 2-1!
The stayers are out for the 8.05 the two-mile Sky Sports Racing HD Virgin 535 Handicap. I think General Zoff and Justified may cut each other's throats here as both will likely try to led leaving them vulnerable to a finisher. London Eye is the one I reckon can pick them off late. He has clearly enjoyed the test of longer distances winning his last two starts and the 3lb rise for his last win at Redcar doesn’t look too harsh. I am on at 7-5 in the hope De Sousa can stalk the leaders and swoop late as others tire.
The lucky last on the day is the 5f Get Hugh Taylor's Tips On attheraces.com Handicap at Lingfield. Lethal Blast has hit a rich vein of form and completed a hat-trick of handicap victories over this trip when scoring on turf here five days ago; two other wins over this track and trip on the Polytrack. In her current mood, even with the 5lb penalty and a career best required, she looks well in and should be backed at the 6-5.Be lucky
