Best bets for the horse racing Thursday 29th August
I mentioned earlier in the week that I was waiting for one at Chelmsford City today and Surf Dancer does run in the 7f Greene King IPA Conditions Stakes at 3.00. I have the Evens about the William Haggass trained 2yo who looked a decent type when winning at Leicester last time having finished fifth over 6f on debut at Ascot behind recent York winner Mums Tipple. He got little luck in running at Ascot and it should be noted that not only Mums Tipple but the 2nd and 4th have both won since as well so it looks a hot race.
I am also having a bet today over
in the Emerald Isle as a member of the Triple G Dirty Dozen is having a run. Skitter Skatter hasn’t had the three-year-old
campaign expected but she should prove too good for the opposition in the Group
Three Coolmore Stud
Fairy Bridge Stakes at Tipperary
due off at 5.55. She steadily improved throughout her two-year-old
campaign and can be forgiven for not getting involved in the 1,000 Guineas on her
seasonal debut, and only run at three, when 10½ lengths back in fourteenth;
she was in touch until the final furlong. The drop back to 7½f here won’t hurt her
chances as of course won’t the drop-in class. It shouldn’t be forgotten she won
the G.1 Moyglare Stud
Stakes last back end and I have happily grabbed the 9-4 that was about
very early this morning.
Be lucky
