Best bets for the horse racing Thursday 19th December at Southwell and Wolverhampton

A nice winner at Lingfield on the Polytrack Wednesday and I have two bets for Thursday, both on the All-Weather.

The first runs in the 1m4f Play 4 To Score At Betway Handicap at 3.30 on the Fibresand of Southwell. The grey filly Angel Lane won on her handicap debut over track and trip earlier this month stepping up from a mile. She didn’t look that pretty, not the most graceful of actions, but she won nicely with it appeared a bit left in the tank. She raced off a mark of 63 that day so she’s up 5lb but this looks her trip and with improvement still expected as well after only four runs she is fancied to follow-up. Clifford Lee rides again and I have the 2-1. The two best runs in the career of Temur Khan have come here and he would be feared if rediscovering that form from January.

Later in the evening my second bet goes in the 7.00 Betway Heed Your Hunch Handicap on the Tapeta at Wolverhampton. Boom The Groom likes the 5f strip at Dunstall Park with three wins from seven runs. He gets in here off 80, fully 7lb below his last winning mark which was over C&D back in February and 22lb lower than his highest winning mark back in 2016. Clearly, he aint improving as an 8-year-old but on the pick of his form, if he arrives fully wound-up after a break, he is well in here. I have the 5-1

Be lucky
