Best bets for the horse racing this weekend across the globe

The horse racing comes thick and fast at this time of the Turf season and following a profitable Chester, just, we have seven meetings here in the UK today and plenty across the world to get involved with if you choose.

Best bets for the horse racing at Lingfield Park

They race on the Polytrack at Lingfield after all the rain recently left the Turf track unraceable so that has to be a consideration. The first of the big races at Lingfield is the Group Three 7f Fitzdares Chartwell Fillies' Stakes at 2.25. Sacred looks to have a great chance to get her season off to a winning start. I expected a little more from her last season but she competed well with some of the best about and this looks an easier assignment than many she faced last season and see generally goes well fresh. I am on at 11-8.

The 1m4f Listed Fitzdares Oaks Trial Fillies' Stakes is due off at 3.00. Eternal Hope showed some promise on debut at Wolverhampton earlier this month and confirmed by winning at Chelmsford over ten-furlongs afterwards. This is a big step-up in class and it is noted she doesn’t have an Oaks entry.Be Happy is over from Ballydoyle and has to be considered off the back of her  third over 10.5f at Saint-Cloud in a G.3 on her reappearance six weeks ago. Connections probably hoped they run on Turf as she has form on soft and the Polytrack surface is a new one to her. Bright Diamond finished her two-year-old campaign finishing third in the G.1 Fillies' Mile and looks the type to be better for further at three. With the two at the head of the market short enough, I think for no other reason than who their connections are, I am on the Karl Burke trained filly at 5’s.

Military Order looks a good thing in the Listed 1m4f Fitzdares Lingfield Derby Trial Stakes at 3.35. A brother of Derby and King George VI winner Adayar having been beaten on debut he has progressed nicely winning his second start and coming out to start his Classic campaign winning a Novice at Newbury over 1m2f as he liked. I am on at 4-5.

Best bet for the horse racing at Haydock Park

I put up Creative Force when he was third in the G.3 Abernant Stakes last month and though that was a bit disappointing it should have blown away the cobwebs and he can take the 6f Pertemps Network Conditions Stakes at 2.45. He was behind Commanche Falls when third at HQ but will strip fitter for the run and receives 4lb from that rival here. Short at 4-5 he should be backed.

Best bet for the horse racing at Belmont Park

The race of the evening across the pond is the Grade One 1m3f Man o' War Stakes at Belmont Park on the Turf due off at 8.07. Warren Point has been sent from Moulton Paddocks and should be backed to win his first G.1. The four-year-old has hardly been in Newmarket this year so far and has already won the Listed 1m2f Listed Khalifa Cup in Bahrain before finishing second in the 1m4f H H The Amir Trophy, a Local G.1 at Doha. The Bookies aint taking a chance at the price, 4-5, but he should prove too good for the locals; Frankie Dettori takes the ride.
