Best bets for the horse racing Sunday 7th May

It is the turn of the star three-year-old fillies on Sunday with the 1,000 Guineas at Newmarket due off at 3.40. My thoughts on the big race are on the Classics page. I have two other fancies on the card at HQ. 

I am in a conundrum with the Group Three bet365 Gordon Richards Stakes at 1.15 as two members of the Dirty Dozen are due to line-up in the shape of Adayar and Anmaat - I had the same problem in the 2,000 Guineas yesterday with Chaldean and Silver Knott and backed the wrong one! Anmaat has to give 5lb to Adayar and if the Derby and King George winner is ready to go on his first start of the season I can’t see the Owen Burrows trained gelding being able to do that even as good as he is. Im on Adayar at Evens.

At 2.25 it is the 1m2f Listed Howden Pretty Polly Stakes. Queen Of Fairies looked a prospect when winning on debut the Cracksman filly winning despite inexperience taking a while to get going but drawing clear of her rivals when the penny dropped. She will surely improve for that experience and for me, has to be backed at the 3-1 this morning.

I was going to back With The Moonlight in the Group Two Howden Dahlia Stakes but the soft going aint in her favour and I am leaving her alone today.
