Best bets for the horse racing Friday 8th September 2023

Two winners from my three bets yesterday saw me make a nice profit on Thursday and I am getting involved again on Friday here in the UK and across the Channel in France.

Best bet for the horse racing at Haydock Park

I tipped a two-year-old debutant from the yard of Charlie Appleby yesterday, Legend Of Time who won, and I am tipping another one today. Dazzling Jewel is a daughter of Dubawi out of the very good mare Lumiere, who won the G.1 Cheveley Park Stakes as a two-year-old. Full-brother Highland Avenue won races up to Listed class and her half-sister Silver Lady is a winner up to a mile. The mile Betfair Supports Racing Welfare EBF Fillies' Novice Stakes at 3.10 looks a good opportunity for this one to get off the mark at the first time of asking especially with the yard back in form. William Buick rides and I am on at 6-5 early.

Best bet for the horse racing at Saint-Cloud

Bold Act is a consistent sort who won the 1m2f Nureyev Listed Stakes on his last trip across the Channel at Deauville last month. The colt has made the trip on the ferry again this time to Saint-Cloud to run on the 1m4f Turenne Listed Stakes at 2.10. This is his first try at the trip but he should stay, his third in the G.3  1m2f Hampton Court Stakes at the Royal meeting is arguably the best from on show and he was staying on strongly in the final furlong there. Only Bet365 have chalked-up at the time of writing so I am holding off the grab the best price I can when the others go up.

I know its two runners from Moulton Paddocks again but I fancy the pair and the yard did me a favour on Thursday.

Be lucky
