Best bets for the horse racing Friday 22nd July
I am on one of those runs this week, 3rd, 2nd, 2nd, 2nd, 3rd for my last five bets; annoying is the only word for it. Anyhow, I do fancy a couple on Friday evening that will hopefully pay for a beer or two going into the weekend.
Best bet for the horse racing at Newmarket
Just the three runners are due to go in the 7f Join Racing TV Nursery at 6.10 but all three have shown decent form already and should go on to bigger things in their career. Coco Jack has the most experience and steps-up in class here, he is certainly worth a try at this level. One World is bred in the purple but may be one that will prove even better at three and for middle distances. That leaves One Nation a Charlie Appleby inmate I have tipped before. The form of his latest win (tipped on here) was given a timely boost yesterday when Golden Speech, a stablemate he beat at Sandown last time, ran well in defeat back at the Esher track yesterday finishing second. I have a bit of the 11-10.
Best bet for the horse racing at York
Race of the day is the Listed 1m2½f British Stallion Studs EBF Lyric Fillies' Stakes at 7.25 with some nice fillies lining-up. Three-year-old Judith arrives for team Gosden unbeaten after two career starts and looks like a very nice horse in the making what I have seen of her. She won a Novice Stakes at HQ with it appeared a bit in hand last time and with more likely to give yet, and the age allowance she gets from the rest of the field here she looks a solid bet to me; she even gets weight from the other three-year-old Poptronic as that won won a G.3 on the Tapeta at Newcastle last time. I have the 2-1.
Be lucky
