Best bets for the horse racing at Newmarket, the Cambridgeshire Meeting 2022
The Cambridgeshire Meeting gets underway at HQ Newmarket on Thursday with some top-class action to look forward to over the next three days. We are on the Rowley Mile and as well as a number of big handicaps we also have seven Group races across the three days to enjoy.

Best bets for the horse racing at Cambridgeshire Meeting Day One
It’s no great shock that Godolphin have a number running and on day one there are several from Moulton Paddocks that I have talked of and tipped before. Bold Act is one I have being keeping tabs on and the colt is odds-on for the mile Federation Of Bloodstock Agents Nursery at 1.5. The son of New Approach can record a hat-trick of wins but is sadly unbackable at the odds. Yantarni is another I have talked of and tipped before but he is also odds-on in the Lifetime In Racing Awards Handicap at 4.45.
One you can back at the price of 11-8 this morning is Victory Dance for the 7f Group Three Tattersalls Stakes at 3.00. Having won on debut the colt took a Listed contest at Newbury last time with a second-place in the G.2 Superlative Stakes here at the July meeting beaten just a head sandwiched in-between. Charlie Appleby and William Buick have taken the last two running's of this, won with Modern Games last year, and this is a colt that might be one to keep on side.
I tipped Juddmonte homebred Brunnera back in July 2021 when second on the July course over 1m2f; a run sandwiched between two wins! She hasn’t been seen for nearly a year but put in a couple of decent efforts up at Listed class last autumn and could be well-in here if she is fit and well after the lengthy lay off. One of her wins last season was on seasonal debut after 7-months off so perhaps she is at her best fresh. At 10-1 she is a speculative punt for the 1m4f Weatherbys Stallion Book Handicap at 4.10.
