Best bets for the horse racing at Kempton Wednesday 6th March

Lingfield turned into a bit of a farce today, the six-race card reduced to races of two, three, two, four, two and two! You can’t get involved for punting purposes and the quicker all concerned sort out this prize-money issue the better.

You have got some races you can have a go at over at Kempton this evening thankfully even though there are a number of short-priced ones.

The start at 4.55 with the 1m2f Move Over To Matchbook Handicap. Matterhorn has been in tremendous form and simply has to be backed at Evens. He is stepped back up to 1m2f, over which he struck at Lingfield in January, after scoring in impressive fashion over 1m at Chelmsford latest. He is shooting up the ratings but looks likely to notch the five-timer here.

They face 7f for the Matchbook VIP Handicap at 7.30. I think the drop back in trip will suit Master Diver, won over the trip at Dundalk earlier this year, before coming third over a mile at Newcastle last time. The grey has had just the three career starts so should have more to offer and is nicely housed in stall four to get a pitch up the sharp end before taking it up close home. I have the 4-1. Blame Culture is feared.

Ironclad is a very interesting debutant in the 6.00; I can’t back him at Evens but he is related to several winners and should be watched.
