Best bets for the horse racing at Chelmsford City Thursday 20th December 2017

I am not venturing far from Triple G Towers for a punt today as my one bet for Thursday is at Chelmsford City in the BetToteexacta At Betfred.com Handicap due off at 7.45. Anna Medici is two from three at the track, having won over 7 and 8 furlongs here earlier in the year. The filly takes the step up to a mile-and-a-quarter for the first time today on debut for her new yard having changed ownership earlier this month and moved from Sir Mark Prescott to Mike Murphy. The way she won over a mile here on her last visit suggests she should stay and Luke Morris keeping the ride despite the change of connections is seen as a positive. She has been progressing steadily all season and at a price of 11-2 is a tentative pick. The jolly Jack Of Diamonds has been running well, 2^nd over track and trip in November, without winning but for me he does not always look that willing to go on and win the race. Choral Clan steps up in trip off the back of a win over a mile at Newcastle last time and is another for the shortlist.
