Best bets for the Dubai Carnival Meydan Thursday 11th January 2018

Triple G Towers has been in quarantine for a few days with this Aussie Flu or whatever it is going about but Thursday sees the Carnival begin at Meydan Dubai and there are bets to be had and I fancy a hat-trick for effectively the home team Godolphin - one for Charlie Appleby and two for Saeed bin Suroor.
At 4.15 they line up for the Singspiel Stakes Presented By Longines Ladies Master Collection Group 3 on the Turf . At 9-4 Benbatl is the one for Triple G . You can ignore his last run as he simply did not handle heavy ground at Haydock or enjoy the drop in trip and the colt must have more improvement in him as still lightly raced.  He was in with some of the best last year. Emotionless is feared.
For the Al Maktoum Challenge R1 Presented By Longines Gents Master Collection Group 2 on dirt at 4.50 I have to be on Thunder Snow at 6-4. He is quirky but when he is good he is good and went well here last year when he won the UAE 2000 Guineas and Derby 12 months ago. There are plenty in here that will want to lead and that should set this up for the four-year-old beautifully.
At 5.25 D'bai should be backed in the  Longines Moon Phase Master Collection Handicap at 7-1 as the Appleby inmate will win heats like this during the winter and the tongue-tie is one for the first time and Buick rides.
Earlier in the day Ertijaal starts his 2018 desert campaign in the 3.05. With form figures over 5f at Meydan of 11211 - his only defeat came in the 2016 Al Quoz Sprint on World Cup night - he will be odds-on but worth a watch.
Be lucky
