Best bets for horse racing at Chelmsford City Thursday 14th December 2017

Another day with the horse racing calendar affected by the weather, only Taunton racing this afternoon, but they race at Chelmsford City this evening and we have a ‘Super 7’ bet qualifier; I fancy the horse anyway so have taken the plunge wholeheartedly.

The race in question is the Class 7 Bet Totequadpot At Betfred.com Handicap due off at 6.45. The horse is four-year-old chestnut gelding Sharp Operator who makes his first appearance for Charlie Wallis having moved across the Irish Sea from Charles O'Brien. All being well the Essex air at Colchester agrees with him and he is ready to go on debut for the yard. He drops down in distance here to seven furlongs his six career starts to date have all been over a mile or further never really looking to get home on any of the videos I’ve watched. Now rated 52 this is a drop in class as well and with Luke Morris booked to do the steering it looks to me that he is primed to go well. You can get 9-1 and I am all over that. Fingers crossed I’ll be able to buy a Christmas present or two later.

Be lucky
