Best bet for the horseracing Wednesday 14th February 2024

I mentioned at the start of the week that there might be a bet of two to be had on the All-Weather midweek, as it turns out it is just the one.

Best bet for the horseracing at Kempton Park

William Buick is back in the UK to get the leg-up on a couple for boss Charlie Appleby and you have to take note when he rides here at this time of the year with the Dubai Carnival in full swing. In fact these two are his only two mounts all week before racing at Meydan on Friday. Sadly the Bookies have taken note and Native Approach and Musical Dancer are both odds-on overnight before they have even stepped out their boxes at Moulton Paddocks and for me unbackable at the prices. Fivethousandtoone is one I have talked of before and he goes in the 7.00 but is plenty short enough at ear'ole 6-4 for a horse with just two wins to his name on over twenty attempts in a relatively warm looking race.

Luckily the third horse on my shortlist for Wednesday is backable. Inverlochy has been thriving on the All-Weather this winter and can go in again in the mile Unibet Zero% Mission Fillies' Handicap (London Mile Series Qualifier) at 6.30. Trained by Simon and Ed Crisford he rarely wins by far but has got his head in front on four of his last six starts on the All-Weather and a mark of 78 looks unlikely to stop him just yet. Harry Davies rides again and I am on at the 13-8 overnight about this one recording his fifth victory of the All-Weather season.

You could chuck the two Godolphin colts in a treble with Inverlochy at about 9-2 if you fancy.

Be lucky
