Best bet for the horse racing Wednesday 7th November 2018

Robin and the Seven Hoods is one of my favourite films. Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr and Bing Crosby star with Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin performing the song “Style" - you got to love it.

What’s he going on about I hear you ask dear reader.

Well, the film is of course very loosely linked to Robin Hood and his Merry Men and I am having a punt up at Nottingham racecourse on Wednesday. See, I was going somewhere with it.

Space Blues makes his debut for Charlie Appleby and the Godolphin operation in the B&M Installations Maiden Stakes at 1.05 over the mile. By Dubawi out of 7f Listed and Group Two winner Miss Lucifer you would like to think he should be half decent and he wouldn’t need to be a potential world beater to win this race with due respect to those that line-up. He is a half-brother to winners including the G.2 and G.3 winner Shuruq. The stable remains in magnificent form and this colt is their only runner until Saturday. I have taken a chance he is ready to turn on the style at 7-4 bpg overnight. Private Secretary was second on debut at Yarmouth and looks the danger from those that have run.

You've either got or you haven't got style, if you got it, you stand out a mile. A flower's not a flower if it's wilted, a hat's not a hat till it's tilted.

Be lucky
