Best bet for the horse racing Wednesday 30th September

I am having a speculative midweek punt at Kempton on Wednesday evening in the one-mile Unibet/British Stallion Studs EBF Novice Stakes at 6.00. Charlie Appleby trained Siskany is by Dubawi and the first foal out of Halay an unraced half-sister to smart middle-distance stayer Dartmouth. He finished in midfield on debut over a mile in a novice stakes at Sandown earlier this month. Taking a keen hold, he was green and short of room when the race really heated up, eventually getting into the clear when switched left he kept on in the final furlong under no more than gentle encouragement from Buick. The colt had three entries this week and I think the trainer has made the right choice sending his charge here as it looks his best chance of a win. I hope so as I am on at 5-4.
