Best bet for the horse racing Wednesday 12th January

It’s been a quiet couple of days for me, though I did giggle at the Oasis treble at Doncaster on Tuesday - Wonderwall, Champagnesuperover and Roll With It. Paddy Power, never ones to miss a marketing coup, offered up specially enhanced "Definitely Neigh-Be" prices! The treble got beat.

I am having a bet on Wednesday, at Kempton.

Best bet for the horse racing at Kempton Park

I noticed on Friday or last week that Charlie Appleby had Tranquil Night entered at Kempton on Wednesday and Newcastle on Thursday this week and the gelding will run in the 7f Unibet Casino Deposit 10 Get 40 Bonus Novice Stakes at Kempton due off at 6.00. Fourth on debut at Yarmouth last back end he looked like winning at one point before losing out in the final furlong. It wasn’t a bad effort first time out and you’d expect the usual improvement but the form of the race isn’t exactly red hot; seven horses from the race have run fourteen times between them since with just one victory. The money is coming but I think you can take him on. Stablemate Montesecco is an interesting newcomer. By Kodiac, a decent sprinter in has day who tends to impart speed in his progeny, he is out of the unraced mare Montefino (Shamardal) who has had four fouls that have run, all winners and all rated 88+ the best being Anda Muchacho a Group winner in France. He cost 255,000 Guineas so team Godolphin must have seen something they liked about him at the sales. They’ve taken their time with him and he has already been gelded so they will want to be winning races with him sooner rather than later you would think. I am taking a chance on the debutant with Robert Winston in the saddle at the 7-2 this morning.

Be lucky
