Best bet for the horse racing Tuesday 4th October
I am having a bet on Tuesday as one is due to run that intrigues me and I have been waiting to see what connections did with him.
Best bet for the horse racing at Southwell
It’s not the sort of race that has probably caught the attention of many but I am interested in the 6.30 at Southwell the 7f Golf Club Winter Deals Maiden Stakes. Charlie Appleby sends a debutant two-year-old up the A1 to Nottingham in the shape of Castle Peak. The colt is by Uncle Mo, a top sire Stateside and in his career the best two-year-old of his generation taking the BC Juvenile. He is out of winning mare Premura and it’s a pedigree all about Dirt, grandsire on the Dam sire is Preakness Stakes winner Bernardini – ran under the banner of Darley Stable in his racing days so there is the link to Sheikh Mo etc...... He is related to a few winners across the pond and it will be interesting to see how this one goes, Tapeta should suit him just fine, and in turn how he is campaigned over the coming months with such an American pedigree. The bookies have bottled it a bit, the filly Double March is the same price, but I am on at 7-4 overnight expecting the Godolphin one to get gambled.
