Best bet for the horse racing Tuesday 27th April

The 1m2f Listed British EBF Supporting Racing To School Nottinghamshire Oaks Stakes up at Nottingham at 3.55 is the race of the day on Tuesday.

Best bet for the horse racing at Nottingham

Freyja is the standout on what they have achieved thus far but all her best form is on soft or heavy and it will be pretty quick ground on Tuesday afternoon which places a question mark next to her name; she also has a 3lb penalty to shoulder. The obvious improver in this line-up is Mostly who has been coming along nicely for team Gosden and won a handicap over a mile at Kempton last month with apparently plenty in the tank. This is a tougher assignment stepping up in class but not a leap of faith. A La Voile got beat in this class over this distance on her final outing over at Yarmouth as a three-year-old but she's the type of lightly-raced four-year-old that old Sir Michael Stoute is none for coaxing more out of as they mature. Black Lotus was second in that race at Yarmouth and her yard have been among winners of late I just wonder if the six-year-old has found her level and a few of these may improve passed her. This track has pretty tight turns and it often pays to be towards the front from the off so the fact A La Voile likes to be up the pointed end from the B of the Bang and that she is drawn in stall one are both seen as positives. Ryan Moore rides, which certainly aint a negative, and she is the pick in a competitive little heat at 5-1 which I have taken overnight.

Be lucky
