Best bet for the horse racing Tuesday 19th November at Kempton Park and Chelmsford City

I am having a go with two on the All-Weather Tuesday one at Kempton and one down at my local track Chelmsford City.

Saeed bin Suroor has a plethora of entries this week; they will be busy down at Stanley House Stables. One that has caught my eye out of all of them is Laser Show who runs in the mile British EBF Matchbook Future Stayers Novice Stakes at Kempton due off at 1.50. The chestnut colt won on debut at Sandown back in July over 7f, leading in the final strides with the official distance of a neck not showing just how superior he was to the opposition. Three behind him that day have come out and won since so the form looks decent. He has an Irish 2,000 Guineas and Derby entry which may look a bit ambitious right now but clearly Godolphin thought/hoped he might be above average. I have some of the 5-4. The John Gosden trained Book Review is feared getting 7lb.

It’s another Godolphin owned one later in the day in the first race of the 8-race evening in Essex due off at 4.15. Story Of Light is trained by Godolphins other man Charlie Appleby and is out for the 6f Bet toteplacepot At totesport.com Novice Stakes. A well-backed favourite on debut he finished fifth of twelve that day in a valuable York maiden over 6f back in May. Stall one certainly doesn’t hurt his chances, the hood has gone on, his bits have come off (gelded in September) and hopefully, that will concentrate the mind and he has come on some since that first run six months ago. By Dark Angel out of two-year-old All-Weather winner Beautiful Ending, he is bred for this sort of race and should be more than capable of winning a few over the coming months if kept to the All-Weather. He is a shade odds-on at 4-5.

Unusually I have had the double at 3.05-1.

Be lucky
