Best bet for the horse racing Thursday 23rd November 2023

I am all about the All-Weather so far this week having tipped two at Wolverhampton on Tuesday, one was a promising second on debut the other ran too bad to be true. I am having a go at Dunstall Park again on Thursday evening under the floodlights and again I fancy two.

Best bets for the horse racing at Wolverhampton

The first of interest to me is the 6f Boost Your Acca At BetMGM Fillies' Novice Stakes at 6.30. Moonfire makes debut for the yard of Charlie Appleby with Hayley Turner booked to ride. A daughter of the stables star sprinter Blue Point she is out of Sand Vixen, who won the 5f G.2 Flying Childers Stakes in her short racecourse career, only raced at two, so you would think this one should be fast. Four of her five half-siblings have all been winners including G.1 winner Dream Castle and G.1 winner With the Moonlight (both by Frankel). She has  a handy draw in stall one so hopefully Turner can ping her out and get a great spot on the rail. It’s no great surprise that the Bookies have opened up relatively short at 15-8 but I wouldn’t be offering you 3-1 if I am honest! I am on overnight.

The other race I am having a bet in it the 1m6f Boost Your Acca-Fenwa With BetUK Handicap at 7.00. Nolton Cross goes well here, three wins and a couple of seconds to his name, and is back down to a winning mark of 88 having spent the summer months racing in competitive handicaps on Turf. Off this mark on a surface he clearly enjoys the four-year-old gelding is of interest. Breaking from stall five he should be able to track the early pace, likely to be Capital Theory in stall two, and swoop last up the run-in. I am on at 100-30 overnight; if they'll take a bet off you Bet365 are 5-1 apparently.

Be lucky
