Best bet for the horse racing Thursday 15th December

The cold snap continues to take it's toll on the horse racing but they race at my local track on Thursday and I am on one.

Best bet for the horse racing at Chelmsford City

I am very interested in the opener at Chelmsford City tomorrow evening the British EBF Future Stayers' Novice Stakes over a mile at 5.30. I noted Tagabawa in the entries, a winner on debut that I tipped on here when he won at Wolverhampton last month. The chestnut colt is a son of multiple G.1 winner at two and three New Approach he is out of Group winner Tasaday who herself was unbeaten in three starts at two in France. She has already produced two winning foals, both 110+ rated, and this one certainly looked to have plenty of talent when pushed out under hands and heels by James Doyle to win a shade cosily. He has the penalty to carry here but did impress me at Dunstall Park. Short at 11-10 overnight he has to be backed again.

There is another reason the race interests me and that is Wigmore Street, owned by Michael Tabor, and making debut for the yard of Simon and Ed Crisford. By American Pharoah, who needs little introduction, he is out of Marylebone a mare trained by Todd Pletcher in her short racing career who was sired by Breeders' Cup Juvenile winner Unbridled's Song - this one's pedigree is all about Dirt. It will be fascinating to see how this one goes and how they campaign him.

Be lucky
