Best bet for the horse racing Thursday 10th February

An annoying loss yesterday with Parlando just failing to hold off Landermere in the shadow of the post, giving away 7lb, the pair clear of the field. It's another Appleby one I fancy today, no system to it, it's just the way it is.

Best bet for the horse racing at Newcastle

Charlie Appleby has thrown three darts at the  Play Coral Racing-Super-Series For Free Fillies' Novice Stakes over a mile at 4.55 up at Newcastle today - thanks Charlie boy make it easy for us punters! All three are worth a look and I have backed one.

A daughter of Dubawi Colourful Dream is the one with racecourse experience and will be jolly, she is bred for the job her dam Be My Gal being a mile Listed and 1m2f G.3 winner by Galileo. She was fancied on her debut at HQ back in August but never really go going that day; you would expect she would have learnt a bit at least. She is the one on breeding to be on here and I have a bit of the 7-4 this morning having missed the 15-8 that was about. Jason Watson in the saddle is seen as a positive by me. Stable mate After The Rain is by French Guineas & Derby winner Shamardal out of Anjaz who won a G.3 in America in her racing career and was a fair middle-distance filly. The best of her progeny thus far is Dubai Future who has won some decent races over 1m4f-1m6f suggesting this one may be one to watch when she takes on middle-distances. Timeless Melody also makes debut for the yard but on paper looks likely to be running for place money.  Of those not trained at Moulton Paddocks the four-year-olds can't be considered giving away chunks of weight so Golden Vintage might be the one to stop Appleby nothing a 1,2,3.

Be lucky
