Best bet for the horse racing this weekend

It is looking like a quiet weekend for me down at Triple G Towers with the big meeting at Ascot next week casting a shadow over the fixtures this weekend; with respect to those racing it’s pretty basic stuff. It's been a tough month so far, from 14 bets I have had 3 winners and 7 placed, so a few days concentrating on nothing other than Ascot won't hurt. I do have one fancy for Sunday out in France and I am on nice and early.

Best bet for the horse racing at Chantilly

Out in France at Chantilly they have the Group One1m2½f Prix de Diane Longines at 3.05 our time with some nice fillies due to line-up. Second in the Group Three Musidora Stakes Novakai has been sent over by the Burke team but the best hope for the Brits is surely Running Lion as long as she behaves. An impressive winner of the Pretty Polly Stakes, she was a non-runner in the Oaks after playing up in the stalls. Blue Rose Cen appears to be the best of the French winner of the G.1 Poule d'Essai des Pouliches last time. Never Ending Story has been sent back across the Channel for Ballydoyle following her fifth in the G.1 Emirates Poule d'Essai des Pouliches over the mile at Longchamp last time behind Blue Rose Cen. It didn't go according to plan there, she was bumped leaving stalls and was out the back for most of the race far from in a good position. The way she stayed on in the final furlong, not knocked about, suggested this longer trip may be within her range; I noted Aidan O'Brien saying of her in April "She hasn’t really come to herself yet, but when she does she will gush. She's just not there yet, you can see it in her coat that she's not there." he added at the time "She can go to one of the Guineas and then stepping up in trip after that shouldn’t be a problem to her.” She is my one bet for the weekend at the 14-1 each-way (four places) that is available on Saturday.

Be lucky
