Best bet for the horse racing Monday 24th April

Following a hugely frustrating weekend, Hurricane Lane a disappointment, Chaldean farcical and Hidden Story beaten the width of a fag paper I was licking the wounds a little on Sunday; at least West Ham won to ease the pain.

Best bet for the horse racing at Windsor

I have backed Sunset Point at Windsor in the 1m2f Follow AtTheRaces On Twitter Fillies' Handicap due off at 3.10. The Bookies are taking no chances and she is short, I have the 11-10 this morning. She improved on each of her three runs at two, getting off the mark over a mile at Lingfield on her third start. You'd expect this well-bred filly to make a fair three-year-old and this increase in trip is also likely to suit. An opening handicap mark of 76 should prove very lenient, her two siblings both being winners over middle distances, one being the Group Two winner Creative Flair. The team at Moulton Paddocks would surely have had bigger plans for this one than simply Handicapping and she might just be one to keep on side of as the season progresses.

Be lucky
