Best bet for the horse racing from Chantilly - Qatar Prix Du Jockey Club

The Group One Qatar Prix Du Jockey Club is due off at 3.00 our time over at Chantilly. Modern Games is one I like a lot, nearly made my Dirty Dozen for the season, and is one I have been following, I backed him when he won the  G1 Poule d'Essai des Poulains at Longchamp three weeks ago. With the plethora of riches Charlie Appleby has in the three-year-old division the colt is back in France today for their 'Derby' and I took the 5-2 BOG this morning about him taking this and doing the Guineas/Derby double this morning. It was good-soft when he won at Longchamp so the going is of little concern provided they get no more rain and the extra two-furlongs should be fine. Charlie Appleby said on the Godolphin website “Modern Games heads back to France in great order. He is the horse in the field with the Classic credentials behind him and we are looking forward to seeing him over this distance, which we feel is within his compass. We are slightly on weather watch with the rain but hopefully they don’t get too much. It would obviously be a negative if it became soft because he prefers a quicker surface, and it would start to bring stamina into play.”
Morney has been coming for Vadeni and that colt appears the danger along with his stable mate Al Hakeem.
