Best bet for the horse racing Friday 26th August
I've had just the one bet so far in a very quiet week for me but it was an 8-1 winner in the shape of Harrys Hero at Musselburgh on Wednesday so I am not complaining. I have a fancy on the July Course at HQ on Friday afternoon.
Best bet for the horse racing at Newmarket
Yantarni hasn’t been seen yet this season; I tipped the chestnut son of Dubawi on debut back in October 2021 and when last seen at Southwell in December. Of his three runs at two he was a promising second at Newmarket on debut, reared as the stalls opened ruining his chances at Wolverhampton in November before finishing third and was then second at Southwell. The snips were reached for in January and he returns to the track, a little lighter than he was, in the mile Jenningsbet.com Handicap at 3.10 back at Newmarket. An opening mark of 80 may prove very lenient as, as I have said before, being out of Villarrica the chestnut colt is a half-brother to four decent types, all better for going over a mile, including G.2 winner in France Vancouverite and Khawlah a decent filly that won the G.2 UAE Derby in 2011. The team at Moulton Paddocks must think they can win races with him having gelded the three-year-old and kept him in training for nearly nine-months without a run. Hills were briefly 15-8 early, I missed it, but I am on at 7-5 overnight.
