I have been on the sort of run that you wouldn't wish on your worst enemy, hard-luck stories galore. Honestly, if I fell into a barrel of boobies I'd come up sucking my own thumb!
Those recent loses really are only lent Mr Bookmaker, the fightback starts this weekend at the Cheltenham International meeting. It's a decent card on Friday and the Grade Three 3m2f BetVictor Handicap Chase at 2.30 has attracted a typically competitive looking field. I really like the chances of Dandy Dan. He has a couple of ducks nest to his name but has done little wrong in his career thus far, especially since going chasing. The six-year-old is open to a little improvement yet and is well worth a try at this level. They are due some rain in Gloucestershire today, as we all are, but the ground shouldn't be any worse than good-soft. I am on the Kim Bailey trained gelding at 11- 2. West Approach and Onefortheroadtom are feared most.
