Best bet for the horse racing Friday 11th November

Following a hectic weekend with the Breeders’ Cup, a winning weekend I am happy to report, I have had a few quiet days with not a bet placed. I have stated before this can be a tricky time of year for us punters as the Flat season ends and the Jumps games gets into full-swing with the formbook thrown out of the window at times due to a number of factors. I do fancy one on Friday, actually out in France.

Best bet for the horse racing at Toulouse

The race I am playing in is the 1m2½f Group Three Prix Fille de l'Air due off at 2.50. Final Gesture is the one of interest as I think she has more to offer yet. By Dubawi out of Secret Gesture she is a full-sister to French 1m4f winner Hidden Thought and half to a couple of offers; I have tipped one in the shape of Deram Of Love (by Shamardal) this season already. Galileo and Dubai Millennium are her Grand-sires, and it is a pedigree that screams middle-distance at you. She was beaten into second by Winema in the Listed 1m4f Prix Panacee - Fonds Europeen de l'Elevage last time but may be able to reverse that form here. She began her career with Charlie Appleby, one run in UK before crossing the Channel, and since arriving with Henri-Alex Pantall in March this year has form-figures of 2213212, she's consistent if nothing else. I am on at 10-1. George Boughey knows how to ready one for a trip across the Channel from his Newmarket base and has nicked a few bob down the years with 4 wins and 7 places for his charges in 25 runs over in France. With that in mind Via Sistina has to be considered a danger but she likes to be out the back early and that can damage her chances. She ran into second in the G.3 Pride Stakes at HQ last month, and you can see a similar fate awaiting here. Galleria Borghese, over from Ballydoyle, is actually feared most.

Be lucky
