At first glance, there is little to get the pulse racing today, plenty of races but it’s average fair. I do though think there is one that is worth a second look up at Thirsk this evening.
Saeed bin Suroor doesn’t send many the 180 odd miles up to North Yorkshire but has a 30% strike-rate when he does. He sends just the one this evening in the shape of Perisher for the 6.10 Follow thirskraces On Twitter Novice Stakes over a mile and the gelding is worth an investment. Third behind Red Mist on debut, that colt was short-headed in a Listed race out in France since. He got in a bit of a mess on his second start getting pushed out wide and looking somewhat green still at Haydock. Clearly needs to get his act together but if he does the son of Pivotal should have the ability to win better races than this. At 7-1 I have taken a chance.
