Horse racing on Tuesday has been decimated again with Bangor-on-Dee and Taunton both lost to the weather, Storm Dennis still taking its toll. You may have seen the photo of Bangor under water, literally halfway up the winning post! With at least some rain forecast most days this week we are more than likely to lose a meeting or two yet.
They do race at Musselburgh where it is (surprise) soft and at Southwell on the Fibresand and I am getting involved up at Nottinghamshire.
They get underway at 5.30 with the 7f Ladbrokes Home Of The Odds Boost Handicap. Luscifer had been knocking on the door and duly got off the mark over track and trip last week. He is back out again quickly and the 6lb penalty might not be enough to hold the gelding back. The yard is on fair form and Ben Curtis gets the leg-up once more. At 9-4 with Hills overnight (missed the 5-2) he looks a fair punt to me.
